Joe Jonas, Sophie Turner get engaged

DNCE vocalist Joe Jonas popped the question last week, and his girlfriend, “Game of Thrones” actress Sophie Turner, favorably answered. On Instagram, the two shared a photo of their hands, with Turner’s showing off the diamond engagement ring. They even have matching captions: Jonas, 28, wrote, “She said yes,” while Turner, 21, posted “I said yes” in hers.

The American singer and the English actress began dating in 2016. The news follows the announcement that Turner’s “GoT” costar Kit Harington has gotten engaged with former series regular Rose Leslie, just a few weeks ago.

Jonas’ younger brother and ex-bandmate Nick also shared the photo and said, “Congratulations to my brother and sister-in-law-to-be on your engagement. I love you both so much.”

‘Supernatural’ and ‘Scooby Doo’ converge

The long-running horror-fantasy series “Supernatural,” which stars Jensen Ackles and Jared Padalecki as monster-hunting brothers Dean and Sam Winchester, respectively, will have an adventure with characters from the cartoon show, “Scooby Doo.”

Set to air next year as part of “Supernatural’s” 13th season, the special episode takes place in the colorful, two-dimensional world of the mystery-solving dog and his human friends. In a preview screening of the season’s first episode last week, Padalecki said of the crossover, “It’s f**ing awesome!” He related that he grew up watching the animated series, about a gang that debunks hauntings faked by human crooks, so “to be on the same screen with the Mystery Machine [is] super cool.”

The coming episode is “more adult” than the average “Scooby Doo” story, coshowrunner Andrew Dabb recently told Entertainment Weekly.—OLIVER PULUMBARIT
