K-Pop group Super Junior member Kim Heechul’s agency, Label SJ, dismissed speculations that he won’t be participating in the group’s upcoming album, KPop Herald reports.
The speculations began when Kim posted on his Instagram account that he won’t be able to fully participate in group promotions due to his leg injury. Kim was involved in a gruesome car accident in 2006 after having visited the funeral of co-member Lee Donghae’s father.
“I feel sorry toward long-awaiting fans and my group mates, but I feel insecure,” his IG post read. “If I can be forgiven by working harder on variety shows and promotions, I will muster up my courage.”
This prompted ELFs (Super Junior’s fandom name) to fly to Twitter and trend “#GetWellSoonHeechul” to show their support for the K-pop idol.
“He was just concerned about his leg pain ahead of the comeback. Also, during his earlier activities, he performed onstage but didn’t do high-intensity choreographies,” Label SJ said to address the issue.
Super Junior will be releasing their eighth full-length album entitled “Play” on Nov. 6. Kangin, Sungmin, Ryeowook and Kyuhyun, however, will not be participating in the album. JB
