Ben Affleck tweets apology for groping ‘One Tree Hill’ star years ago
Actor and director Ben Affleck took to Twitter to apologize to “One Tree Hill” star Hilarie Burton for groping her while television cameras were rolling in 2003.

In an episode of the now defunct — and eventually — revived MTV show “Total Request Live” or TRL, Affleck was seen grabbing Burton’s left breast supposedly as a joke back. Burton, in response to Twitter user @ShaniceBrim who brought up the incident, tweeted: “I didn’t forget.”

She posted another tweet that she had to laugh instead at that time, so she would not have to cry in public while cameras were rolling. Included in the tweet was a clip from a behind-the-scenes interview where Burton said that Affleck “tweaked my left boob.”

There is no response yet from Burton regarding Affleck’s apology as of this writing.
This comes after Affleck tweeted about his thoughts on the sexual harassment allegations involving movie mogul Harvey Weinstein, who helped him snag an Oscar with childhood friend Matt Damon for the movie “Good Will Hunting”.
But actress Rose McGowan, one of the women who spoke to the New York Times on the Weinstein article, branded Affleck a liar who knew about the rumors long before. JB
