After “Last Night,” actress Bela Padilla is again busy writing another script, this time, a suspense story.
“The next one won’t be as light as ‘Last Night,’” Bela disclosed. “I hope that all my scripts from now on will have a certain flavor—you’ll be able to tell that it’s from me. I want to stick to dark themes.”
Bela is also preparing for her first directorial job under the guidance of director Joyce Bernal.
“Direk Joyce has a material she wants me to work on,” the 26-year-old actress beamed. “I consider her my mentor. I shadowed her while she was working on ‘Last Night’ (which starred Piolo Pascual and Toni Gonzaga). She made me do errands for her—and I followed.”
Bela added: “I tried to absorb everything. I feel that I’m still not ready to direct, but her vote of confidence on me is a big deal. Direk Joyce guides me in every aspect of my work.” —MARINEL CRUZ
