Left out of will, Crystal Hefner describes late husband Hugh as ‘American hero’
Although she was left out of his will, it appears that Hugh Hefner’s wife, Crystal Hefner, holds no ill-will toward her late husband.
In an interview with People Magazine, the 31-year-old former Playmate remembered the Playboy founder as an “American hero.”
“I haven’t been able to bring myself to write most people back to thank them for their condolences,” she said. “I am heartbroken. I am still in disbelief.”
The widow added that Hef was “a kind and humble soul who opened up his life and home to the world.
She added: “I felt how much he loved me. I loved him so much. I am so grateful. He gave me life. He gave me direction. He taught me kindness. I will feel eternally grateful to have been by his side, holding his hand, and telling him how much I love him.”
Hefner is survived by his four children—Christie, 64, David, 62, Marston, 27 and youngest son Cooper, 26–who will take over the Playboy empire.
