Twentieth Century Fox announced on Wednesday that “Bob’s Burgers” is set to grace the big screen, Variety reported.
Scheduled for July 17, 2020, the movie will follow the misadventures of Bob and his crazy bunch in manning their struggling hamburger restaurant business.
Series creator Loren Bouchard expressed his excitement over the plan.
“We know the movie has to scratch every itch the fans of the show have ever had, but it also has to work for all the good people who’ve never seen the show,” the report quoted Bouchard.
“A ‘Bob’s Burgers’ film fits perfectly with our initiative to redouble our family and animation efforts,” Twentieth Century Fox chair Stacy Snider said.
“Bob’s Burgers” garnered its second Emmy for Outstanding Animated Program. The series, which premiered in 2011, is currently on its eighth season. Katrina Hallare/JB
