After robbing Kim Kardashian at gunpoint in October last year, the mastermind of the Paris theft has sent an apology through Kardashian’s legal team.
According to TMZ, Aomar Ait Khedache, the alleged leader of the crime, has issued a handwritten letter in French to Kardashian that reads in part:
“After observing your emotion and realizing the psychological damages I inflicted… I decided to write to you, not to obtain from you some sort of indulgence. I want to come to you as a human being to tell you how much I regret my gesture, how much I have been moved and touched to see you in tears.
“Know that I fully sympathize with the pain you are enduring, your children, your husband, and your close ones. I hope that this letter will allow you to forget little by little the trauma that you suffered by my fault.”
The “Keeping Up with the Kardashians” star is said to have dismissed the apology, citing that it could be a tactic to appear remorseful to judges, TMZ reports.
The experience was traumatizing for the reality TV star, who was bound and locked in her hotel bathroom while almost $10 million worth of personal belongings, mainly jewelry, were taken.
In the months following the robbery, the social media star kept a low profile, and husband Kanye West suffered a nervous breakdown in November 2016, which prompted him to cancel his concert tour.
