Justin Timberlake has been reportedly tapped to headline the Super Bowl LII halftime show, which will be held in February next year in Minneapolis.
According to US Weekly, citing inside sources, the 10-time Grammy Award-winning pop star has been in the process of “finalizing” the deal with the National Football League. There’s talk that Justin will be sharing the stage with hip-hop artist Jay-Z. The source, however, stressed that, “as of right now, it will just be Justin—no surprise performers.”
Should the plan push through, it will be the singer’s first time performing at the event since its 2004 edition, which he co-headlined with Janet Jackson, who infamously suffered a “wardrobe malfunction” at the hands of Justin.

“Bodak Yellow,” Cardi B’s debut single on a major record label, recently reached the No. 1 spot of Billboard’s Hot 100 chart, knocking out “Look What You Made Me Do” by Taylor Swift. The 24-year-old from New York City has become only the second solo female rapper to achieve such feat, after Lauryn Hill in 1998 with “Doo Wop (That Thing).”
Knowing fully well the magnitude of Cardi B’s achievement, other female rappers, including Missy Elliott, Lil’ Kim and Nicki Minaj, took to social media to congratulate the youngster.
Meanwhile, an overwhelmed Cardi B wrote in a series of tweets: “My heart is crying, I’m so emotional… This is the happiest day of my life and no one can take [away] this joy from me… Every single female rapper congratulated me today.
