Ejay Falcon willing to give up love for family

I would give up love for my family,” declared actor Ejay Falcon.

The 27-year-old former “Pinoy Big Brother” winner, who admitted to being the breadwinner in the family, said he would fight to keep the woman he loves, but only if their relationship would not affect his bond with his loved ones.

This was why before Ejay introduced ex-“StarStruck” finalist Jana Roxas to his parents as his girlfriend, he said he first made sure they would accept her. The two met at the housewarming party that Jana organized for family and friends at her home in Pansol in 2016.

“I don’t often bring a girl to see my parents. I’m glad they like Jana for me,” Ejay told the Inquirer during the press con for the drama series “Promise of Forever,” which also stars Paulo Avelino and Ritz Azul.

He added that there were instances in the past when he’d meet a girl he found interesting, but would decide not to pursue her because he was focused on providing for his family.

“I’m now very vocal about my relationship with Jana. I guess it’s because I felt the right emotion for the right person at the right time,” he explained.

Ejay, however, admitted that it was still too early to talk about “forever” with her. “But when I get into a relationship, that’s always on my mind. I would always hope that it’ll last. It’s just that right now, it’s hard to be definite about things.”

The actor said he also hoped for Jana to continue pursuing a career in show business. Both of them are products of reality talent searches—Ejay was the winner of the 2008 “Pinoy Big Brother: Teen Edition Plus,” while Jana was a member of “StarStruck” Batch 3 in 2005.

“She has received several inquiries. Producers are interested in her, but she is still weighing things out. I will support whatever she decides on, but I also told her that, if she agrees to do it, she has to be ready to give it her all,” Ejay shared with the Inquirer.

Ejay is convinced that Jana being in the biz has its advantages. “She would understand me more. She would know why I work long hours. She’d also finally understand the importance of social media and its effects to the careers of actors like me,” he explained.

Aside from “Promise of Forever,” Ejay is also a semiregular talent of the action-adventure program, “FPJ’s Ang Probinsyano.”
