Kapamilya singer Morissette Amon impressed an international audience with her belting powers at the recently concluded Asia Song Festival in Busan, South Korea
Amon is representing the country this year. A video of her performance of Little Mix’s “Secret Love Song” and a medley of Eagle’s “Best of My Love” and Mariah Carey’s “Emotions” is now trending.
After she owned the stage with her powerful version of “Secret Love Song”, she thanked the audience for being so welcoming as she introduced herself.
“My name is Morissette and I am from the Philippines, mabuhay! Thank you so much, I am so happy to be here with all of you tonight and I’m very, very grateful to be part of this year’s Asia Song Festival. Thank you so much for being so warm. Such a beautiful country you all have here and you guys are amazing,” she said before she went on to the second part of her performance.
She all the more got the audience hooked when she gave “Best of My Love” her own flavor, and effortlessly whistled to one of the hardest songs to perform, “Emotions”.
Amon regularly performs in ABS-CBN’s Sunday noontime variety show “A.S.A.P”. She’s also known for being a singer of teleserye songs.
She first rose to fame when she joined “The Voice of The Philippines”, where she was mentored by coach Sarah Geronimo. JB
