Jim Carrey just ‘Kidding’
Jim Carrey will star in a half-hour Showtime comedy series, “Kidding.” It will reunite him with his “Eternal Sunshine of the Spotless Mind” director, Michel Gondry.
The 10-episode show centers on Carrey, who plays a longtime children’s TV show character, Mr. Pickles. But, in reality, the actor behind that television icon, Jeff, is dealing with an increasingly problematic family.
Armie Hammer ‘terrified’ of gay scenes
“I was terrified before we were going to do it,” actor Armie Hammer told GQ on doing love scenes for the coming film, “Call Me By Your Name,” to be released on Nov. 24.
“I wouldn’t say it out loud, but I was nervous,” said Hammer, who plays a 24-year-old gay man who finds himself smitten with a 17-year-old. “Having to free yourself completely while being naked with another man in [a room] full of people … it sounds difficult. But when you’re there doing it, it’s incredibly easy.”
Playing the younger man in the film is Timothée Chalamet, 21, who elaborated on creating the onscreen rapport with Hammer’s character: “I almost think the chemistry, as opposed to the physical mechanics of the actual kissing or sex scene, is more palpable in the lack of contact.” —OLIVER PULUMBARIT
