Coolness is in everything Kean Cipriano does. He is all revved up for his new show on ABS-CBN, “I Can See Your Voice” (Saturdays at 9:30 p.m.). The Callalily frontman has no qualms about shedding his rock-star image as he embraces everything about fatherhood. He is so into being a father to his and Chynna Ortaleza’s firstborn, Stellar. That’s why he ventured into the portable breast-pump business. Kean has gone from “rock and roll” to “rock-a-bye baby.”

Here’s my chat with Kean:

How has Chynna “tamed” you? I don’t know exactly. I guess when you meet the girl you want to spend the rest of your life with, you automatically calm down.

FEATURED STORIES

What’s the best and toughest part of fatherhood? Not being able to sleep the way you used to when you were single was a struggle at first. Then, it became my new thing. The best part is when you wake up and see the face of your baby and wife first thing in the morning.

When Stellar is old enough, what advice would you give her about love and men? To always know her worth and value, so she won’t settle for just any guy. To love herself enough and not lose herself in a relationship.

Tell us about your new show. It’s a hilarious singing show hosted by Luis Manzano. A guest singer is invited. He will judge a contestant if he/she is a “see-nger” or a “see-ntunado.” The show ends with a duet of the guest singer and the contestant. That’s the fun part. I am one of the “Sing-vestigators,” along with Alex Gonzaga, Angeline Quinto, Andrew E and Wacky Kiray. We give advice, and most of the time, we complicate things.

What changes would you like to see on the OPM scene? It’s a different landscape now. Technology is growing so quick. There’s an online world. I’d like to orient people about legal downloading and streaming. We have to watch for the OPM scene’s young blood. There are a lot of new bands that sound great and have awesome material.

If you had to choose between singing and acting, which would you pick? Singing. It’s my No. 1 thing and, besides, music is what I’m known for, although acting and directing are also my passion. I love telling stories in whatever art form. So, it’s all symbiotic.

How do you stay away from temptation? I don’t even notice if there’s temptation around, because I love my wife so much.

What do you and Chynna argue about, and how do you resolve it? She misplaces her phone all the time. We still don’t know how to resolve that. Sometimes, we argue about schedule, because we miss each other easily. When we have a misunderstanding, we sleep on it. Then, we talk things over when we wake up.

If your life story were made into a song, what would the title be? “Litrato.”

Christian Bautista is happy for his ex-girlfriend, Rachelle Ann Go, who’s now engaged to her American beau, Martin Spies. He already congratulated her on Instagram. I teased him if he would also get hitched soon. He just smiled. The Filipino superstition sukob does not apply to ex-lovers, after all.

Regine Tolentino does an incredible balancing act as a mother, actress, host, fashion designer and fitness guru. “I can’t afford to slack, not only because this is the lifestyle I’m used to, but also because I love the activity,” says Regine. “For me it’s no longer work, but a way of life already.” Organique Acai freeze-dried capsule is her “adrenaline shot” and “immunity booster.” (Join Regine and other health buffs in Purple Run 2017, on Oct. 8, 4 a.m at McKinley West in BGC.)
