Fans may now have their first look of the ‘Hellboy’ movie remake, as an official image of the titular character has been revealed via social media.

The photo was uploaded on the movie’s official Twitter account and is the first tweet to come from it.

Creator of the “Hellboy” comic book, Mike Mignola also shared the image to his followers.

This new Hellboy will be portrayed by “Stranger Things” actor David Harbour. The film will be directed by Neil Marshall who is best known for his work on the 2005 horror movie “The Descent”. He also worked on two episodes of HBO’s “Game of Thrones” TV series, namely “Blackwater” and “The Watchers on the Wall”.

Analyzing the photo reveals a few differences with actor Ron Perlman’s version of the red demon. First, the new Hellboy appears more battle-scarred. His massive right hand is also less rounded and looks more like a metal gauntlet. The horn stubs also appear to be more irregular. Overall, the new Hellboy looks somewhat grittier.

“Hellboy” the reboot’s release date is yet to be announced. JB
