Zedd, other DJs grace EDM fest

Zedd, the popular Russian-German DJ and record producer behind such hits as “Stay,” “Clarity” and “Break Free” will headline this year’s “Road to Ultra: Philippines” on Sept. 15 at the SM Mall of Asia Arena.

Mounted by Ovation Productions and Blackwater, the touring, single-stage EDM festival will likewise feature Dutch DJ Hardwell, who performed in the event’s 2016 edition.

Also expected to serve thumping beats and rumbling bass drops are DJs Rezz, Getter and Sam Feldt.

Ultra, which is open to revelers 18 and above, was conceptualized by the same team behind the annual Ultra Music Festival in Florida, United States.

Aside from the music, “Road to Ultra,” which will also make stops in China, Japan, Taiwan and Hong Kong, is also known for its intricate stage productions, laser works and pyrotechnics. —ALLAN POLICARPIO
