Controversial comic Kathy Griffin, who was criticized for holding a ketchup-smeared Donald Trump mask for a photo shoot last May, returns to skewer celebrity culture once more—this time, in places other than the United States.
After several lost gigs, she’s bouncing back with her “Laugh Your Head Off World Tour.” In the “trailer,” she promised to dish the dirt on Oprah Winfrey, the Kardashians and, who else? “Nothing is off-limits—not even him,” she said, referring to President Trump.
Griffin was supported publicly by comedians Jim Carrey, Jerry Seinfeld and Ricky Gervais after the controversy. She told thecut.com that news anchor Anderson Cooper, who condemned her shoot, isn’t a friend anymore.
According to the article, “The fact that Cooper was telling people publicly they were friends, while not checking in with her, hurt Griffin deeply. When he finally [texted months later], she told him their friendship was over.” —OLIVER PULUMBARIT
