Almost 12,000 tickets to Bruno Mars’ concert on May 3, 2018, at the MOA Arena were sold out in less than an hour today, Sept. 7, the concert’s promoter MMI Live confirmed to the Inquirer.
Because of the sold-out concert, the MMI Live, headed by its CEO Rhiza Pascua, has confirmed that Mars’ concert will now be held for two nights, May 3 and 4, 2018.
The May 4, 2018 date was added after almost 12,000 tickets to the first date, May 3, 2018, sold out in less than an hour after tickets were made available on Sept. 7, the concert’s promoter confirmed to the Inquirer.
The MOA Arena concert is part of Mars’ 24K Magic tour, which kicked off last March in Europe.
It is in support of Mars’ latest album of the same tour name, with three hit singles so far: “Versace on the Floor,” “That’s What I Like,” and the title track.
Mars, 31, was born Peter Gene Hernandez in Waikiki, Hawaii, to Peter Hernandez, a Puerto Rican-Jew, and Bernadette San Pedro Bayot, a Filipino who migrated to Hawaii.
The pop superstar has sold nine million albums to date and has won five Grammy Awards. JPV
