US cinema chain to host screening of Stephen King’s ‘It’ for ‘clowns only’
As if the upcoming movie adaptation of Stephen King’s novel “It” isn’t terrifying enough, imagine watching it in a room full of clowns.
The Alamo Drafthouse Cinema chain in the US is turning this nightmare into reality, as it will host an exclusive “clowns only” screening of the classic horror-thriller.
According to the theater’s official website, moviegoers in their Arizona, New York, Nebraska and Texas branches are urged to put on their red bulbous nose and white face paint on Sept. 9.
“For this special clown screening of ‘It,’ all attendees should arrive dressed as a clown in order to attend,” the advisory said.
The seemingly crazy idea actually came from a Facebook user who aired his complaint about a previous “women only” Wonder Woman screening.
