Actress-dancer Winwyn Marquez is set to wear a Francis Libiran creation at the Miss World Philippines pageant on September 3 at the Mall of Asia Arena.
In an Instagram post yesterday, the Miss World contender shared her excitement on wearing the masterpiece of the esteemed designer.
“I am so honored and grateful to wear his creation on September 3! (Yes, 5 more days til the @msworldphil coronation night) I fell inlove with my gown and I hope you’ll feel the same way when you see it on sunday.”
Marquez is one of the leading candidates in Miss World Philippines this year, in terms of familiarity. Besides being a celebrity, she is the daughter of actors and politicians Joey Marquez and Alma Moreno. Her interest in beauty pageants also does not come as a surprise, as she happens to be the niece of Miss International 1979, Melanie Marquez.
She gave up her Kapuso soap opera “Mulawin vs. Ravena” to pursue her dreams of becoming a beauty queen. JB
