Sylvester Stallone has already hung up his gloves in the iconic “Rocky” boxing films, but his saga continues in the 2015 film “Creed.”
Apart from Stallone, big names have appeared in the films like Carl Weathers as Apollo Creed and Mr. T. as the infamous Clubber Lang.
But perhaps the most recognizable “Rocky” villain remains to be the imposing Soviet boxer Ivan Drago, brought to life by Dolph Lundgren.
The sullen, steroid-infused fighter has been confirmed to return to the franchise in the upcoming “Creed II,” set to come out later this year.
Now 59 years old, the Swedish actor recently shared his preparations for the upcoming film.
“Getting ready for something big!” Lundgren captioned the Instagram post of him working out, including the hashtags “#Creed2” and “#IvanDrago.”
As of this writing, it remains unclear what Lundgren’s involvement in the film will be, but it would most likely be a mentorship role—much like Stallone’s character’s coaching role with lead actor Adonis Creed (Michael B. Jordan). /ra
