LOOK: Is Kamikazee returning with new song?

It’s been almost two years since Pinoy rock band Kamikazee took a break from the music scene after a series of farewell bar shows and concerts.

Earlier this month, the band posted a vague yet meaningful poster on its official social media accounts, hinting at a possible return.

The OPM standouts followed it up with a clearer poster earlier this week, showing a bigger image of a bird-like figure along with the date “12.09.17.”

“Matagal na panahon. Magkikita muli… Bagong Kanta, (It’s been a long time. We’ll meet again…New song),” the post read.

The succeeding poster also clarified an earlier confusion with the date, as one of the hashtags used read #december9.

The group–composed of former UP College of Fine Arts students Jay Contreras, Jamal Linao, Led Tuyay, Puto Astete and Bords Burdeos–has been around since the early 2000s, but first burst into mainstream success in 2006, with their studio album “Maharot,” featuring now iconic songs “Narda” and “Martyr Nyebera,” among others.  /ra
