“I wish that more attention would be given to independent filmmaking this year. I also wish that our industry would be more ‘open,’ just like in the United States. Right now, we’re still very conservative pagdating sa mga eksena. This is very limiting to actors and directors. Sana bawasan ang restrictions. Artists should be given more freedom so they can work on improving their films. Personally, I wish to be able to make more indie movies next year. I hope to join at least one movie in the Cinemalaya film fest. I also wish that my left-shoulder injury would heal quickly. I got it while working out in the gym. It’s the only thing that’s keeping me from being perfectly fit.”

Joji Alonso

Film producer, TV host, lawyer

“I wish the entertainment industry would produce more blockbusters and award-winning films and finally make it to the Golden Globes and Oscars. As for me, I can only hope for more years in my life. It’s been three years since I survived the dreaded cancer. I hope this extension would last for some time so I can be with my children longer, become a better lawyer and make more films.”

Nikki Valdez

Actress

“I wish for the entertainment industry to flourish more, for it to produce bigger projects and for those projects to earn so we could all benefit from their success. For myself, I wish to continue having projects so I could give my daughter and family a good life. I also wish for good health and peace for all.”
