“I wish that more attention would be given to independent filmmaking this year. I also wish that our industry would be more ‘open,’ just like in the United States. Right now, we’re still very conservative pagdating sa mga eksena. This is very limiting to actors and directors. Sana bawasan ang restrictions. Artists should be given more freedom so they can work on improving their films. Personally, I wish to be able to make more indie movies next year. I hope to join at least one movie in the Cinemalaya film fest. I also wish that my left-shoulder injury would heal quickly. I got it while working out in the gym. It’s the only thing that’s keeping me from being perfectly fit.”
