LANY blown away by PH fan frenzy
For LANY, the American alternative band behind the electro-pop songs “ILYSB,” “Super Far,” “13” and “Good Girls,” success is being able to go anywhere to perform music.
“We want to be a band that reaches everyone in every corner of the world. And just being here in Manila, far away from home in Los Angeles, [feels great],” said Paul Klein, the vocalist of the three-man American group, which is also composed of Les Priest and Jake Goss.
“The internet is such a cool thing—it has allowed us to fly all the way here. So, in that regard, we’re already doing just fine,” he added.
LANY, which released its self-titled debut album in June, was recently in Manila for a series of shows at select Ayala Malls.
“We’re blown away by how engaged the fans are—even with the smallest things we do—because we do work very hard. We push ourselves and come up with new ideas to connect with our fans,” said Paul, who also looked back with fondness at the band’s set last March in the Wanderland music fest—LANY’s first gig in Manila.
