Beauty queen Pia Wurtzbach was in Thailand to tour the country as part of its “Amazing Thailand” campaign.
The Miss Universe 2015 was with friend and host Tim Yap, whom she said was her tour guide, as he had been to the Southeast Asian country multiple times.

Majority of Thailand’s citizens practice Buddhism, so in a long floral dress, Pia made sure not to miss a visit to ornate Buddhist temples. She emphasized in a post that her outfit was in compliance with the dress code in their sacred places.

She also learned rituals to pay respect to a huge reclining Buddha.

“Queen P” also did work for her advocacy on HIV/AIDS prevention when she visited the local UNAIDS (Joint United Nations Programme on HIV/AIDS). She also joined local beauty, Miss Thailand Universe 2017 Poonlertlarp Ehren, at the Women’s Journey Thailand reception party, where she met fans.
