Austin Swift, pop singer-songwriter Taylor’s 25-year-old brother, has landed a role in an upcoming indie film.
According to TheWrap, Swift will co-star with “Pretty Little Liars” actress Tammin Sursok in the road-trip comedy “Whaling.” The film follows two estranged siblings who meet again after their mother’s death to dispose of her ashes.
Swift will play a “small town hustler” who encounters Sursok and her brother during their journey.
Sursok wrote the film and her husband, Sean McEwen, directs, with both taking charge as producers.
The younger Swift has had previous acting roles in the Ben Affleck-directed film “Live by Night” and the Pierce Brosnan film “I.T.”
In a June 2017 Vanity Fair interview, the actor shared his high regard for his famous sister. “Something I learned myself, and learned through watching her, is respect. You just respect everyone’s time, everyone that you’re working with. They’re all there, it’s all their lives, and you need to put the work in to be worth that.” Niña V. Guno /ra
