“I believe it’s just a matter of right timing—and, perhaps, it’s my time this year. I hope the blessings continue to come,” said actress Gabbi Garcia, when asked at a recent press conference if she felt she was starting to eclipse her fellow young talents at GMA 7 in terms of projects. “I think everyone will have his or her turn.”
Though Gabbi still gets paired with Ruru Madrid in the variety show “Sunday Pinasaya,” it seems like the love team is headed toward different directions when it comes to soap operas. “There’s always an advantage and disadvantage,” she pointed out. “Right now, I get to explore more, because I’m not locked down in an exclusive partnership.”
“But the downside is that working with Ruru has always been my comfort zone. He will be part of ‘Alyas Robin Hood 2,’ and I’m very happy for him,” added Gabbi, who’s open to working with other leading men in the future.
