Chester Bennington’s death devastated millions of his fans around the globe, but perhaps more so his wife, Talinda Ann Bentley, and six children.

The Linkin Park frontman took his own life last week, but not before purchasing a new home for his family, two months before his demise.

According to TMZ, the 41-year-old rock icon bought the Palos Verdes Estates house in Los Angeles, California—the same home where he hanged himself—for $2.5 million back in May 26.

The five-bedroom and four-bathroom domicile is situated in an affluent part of LA County, known for its pristine neighborhoods and excellent public school system.

The family home also has a 3,956-square-foot pad, three outdoor decks and an expansive backyard with a spa and swimming pool, the report said.

In the months leading to his sudden passing, Bennington’s Linkin Park bandmates claimed that the singer spoke excitedly about his future plans with his family.

The band has also set up a suicide-prevention website in honor of their fallen comrade.  Khristian Ibarrola /ra
