The second trailer of the much-anticipated “Kingsman: The Golden Circle” did not disappoint, as fans were treated to a longer montage of exemplary marksmanship, explosions and hand-to-hand combat.
A direct sequel to the surprising 2015 blockbuster spy-thriller film, the teaser showcased more airtime for the film’s newest faces—including Hollywood darlings Channing Tatum, Julianne Moore, Halle Berry, Jeff Bridges and Pedro Pascal.
Charismatic British spies Eggsy Unwin (played by Taron Egerton), Merlin (Mark Strong) and the returning Galahad (Colin Firth) must team up with their American counterparts, the Statesmen, to unravel the mystery behind the secret group, only known as “The Golden Circle.”
Judging from the two-minute adrenaline-filled clip, the sequel will be more action-packed than its predecessor, while obviously brimming with more star power.
Meanwhile, Filth, whose character was presumed dead from the events of the first film, is obviously alive and well in the trailer.
“I can’t give too much away about in what capacity I’m back,” he told Collider. “A lot of people have speculated and a lot of people have come to the wrong conclusions about it.”
“Kingsman: The Golden Circle” will captivate audiences starting Sept. 20.
