4 reasons to watch ‘The Bride of Habaek’
There’s a new K-drama in town that you need to check out, and it’s not your ordinary cute series.
“The Bride of Habaek” is a modern retelling of a supernatural romance, starring Nam Joo-hyuk of “Weightlifting Fairy Kim Bok Joo” and Shin Se-kyung of “Six Flying Dragons”.
Habaek, or Water God, travels to Earth to seek help from his human bride, to search for the magical stone that could restore balance of power in the heavens.

The story appeals to people who love mythology.
If you fancied “Goblin” and “My Girlfriend is a Gumiho”, “The Bride of Habaek” will pretty much rock your world. With a story filled with powerful forces and magical entities, you are in for a ride.

The drama is based on a novel.
“The Bride of Habaek” is based on a novel written by Yun Mi-kyung, which already got attention prior to the TV adaptation. The screenplay was written by Jung Yoon-jung who also wrote “Misaeng” and “Arang and the Magistrate”. JB
