Filipino-American child wonder Angelica Hale transformed into a “girl on fire” during her “America’s Got Talent” performance aired on Tuesday.
During the show’s Judge Cuts round, Hale, 9, impressed judges for the second time with a cover of Alicia Keys’ “Girl on Fire.” Without hesitation, guest judge Chris Hardwick slammed the show’s Golden Buzzer, sending Hale to the next round.
“You open your mouth and it’s like ‘How do those pipes fit in that tiny little body?'” Hardwick said of Hale’s performance. “I just feel like, Angelica, you are the chosen one!”
In 2012, Hale suffered from Sepsis, which led to her contracting double pneumonia. A year later, her Filipino mother, Eva Bolando, decided to donate her own kidney to save her child’s life, local news site WXIA-TV previously reported.
I'm still crying too!!! I can't believe this is happening! 😊❤️💖😘@AGT #agt #JudgeCuts https://t.co/kmO2o72Ekn

Hale first impressed the judges with her rousing rendition of Andra Day’s “Rise Up.”
“I want to be the next Whitney Houston. I want to be a superstar. And I’m in it to win it,” Hale told the judges during her audition last month. Gianna Francesca Catolico /ra
