Mobile brand Globe Telecom has officially announced the launch of an extensive lineup of productions that customers can participate in.
The company has ventured into staging entertainment productions that go beyond the smartphone screen. The musical run already began with the adaptation of Disney’s “Newsies,” which is scheduled for all weekends of July.
The telecom is coproducing the international tour of award-winning titles like “West Side Story” from Aug. 10 to 27, and the West End production of “The Sound of Music” from Sept. 27 to Oct. 15, both at The Theatre at Solaire.
Capping off 2017 will be the restaging of Menken and Ahren’s “A Christmas Carol” in December.
The Globe Independent Film Festival has also been launched to fuel creativity among aspiring local filmmakers. The telecom has also collaborated with HOOQ to bring the star-studded series, “On the Job (OTJ),” a spinoff from the original film by Erik Matti.
The company also supports the coming Pista ng Pelikulang Pilipino, a nationwide weeklong celebration.
For concertgoers, Globe is also set to bring in foreign music acts The Chainsmokers in September and Harry Styles, in his first solo concert, in May 2018.
Finally, in line with the telecom’s campaign #PlayItRight, customers can access all the entertainment they crave with the new GoWATCH, which allots a separate data allocation exclusively for videos. For information, visit globe.com.ph/.
