Eugene Domingo has achieved a lot in her career: she has hosted successful TV shows, won trophies in international film festivals and maintained a healthy lifestyle despite turning 46 years old this month.
So when asked to pick between show biz and love life, the actress-host expressed her urge to settle down with her Italian boyfriend, film critic Danilo Bottoni.
“Hindi naman ako 26 years old. Forty-six na ako sa birthday ko (I’m not 26 years old. I’m turning 46). Thank you, Lord,” Domingo told the Philippine Entertainment Portal (PEP). “So, it’s about time to really focus on what is new to me.”
Although she still wants to continue acting and hosting, Domingo hopes to finally be a permanent resident in Italy sometime next year.
“Pero bibisita ako [sa Pilipinas] kasi hindi naman nagre-retire ang artista (But I will visit the Philippines because artists never retire),” Domingo added. “Kahit 92 years old na kami, basta kaya pa at nakakapag-memorize pa, may roles para sa amin. Gustung-gusto kasi ni Danilo na umaarte ako (Even if we are 92 years old, as long as we can still act and memorize lines, there will be roles for us. Danilo really wants me to act).”
