Will she or won’t she?
If you have managed to catch Adele in any of the 123 stops of her recent, most extensive world tour, consider yourself lucky.
Before recently wrapping up “Adele: Live 2016” in the United Kingdom, the British pop star shared with her fans a letter, in which she hinted that she might get on the road again.
As a “homebody who gets so much joy in the small things,” the 29-year-old singer-songwriter finds touring “a peculiar thing” that doesn’t “suit me particularly well.” “I only did this tour for you (the fans),” she wrote.
Still, Adele added, all the concerts she did were “an absolute thrill.” “I wanted my final shows to be in London because I don’t know if I will ever tour again—so, I want my last time to be at home,” Adele said.
But while the news had some fans worried, others were hopeful that the singer would someday change her mind. After all, they pointed out, Adele had in the past said she wouldn’t do big festivals or world tours, but eventually relented.—ALLAN POLICARPIO
