I stumbled upon Rick Warren’s “The Purpose of Christmas” in a bookstore last year. I was going through a sad phase at the time. I just wanted to remind myself and my two children of the real meaning of the holiday season. We tend to get lost in the hectic preparations, and thus forget its true purpose. Christmas is God’s gift. It’s the time to celebrate life and the gift of salvation. Plus, it provides the best reason to reconcile with people we’ve had misunderstandings with.
