Last April, Nu-metal fans were treated to a refreshing sight, as Tye Trujillo, the 12-year-old son of Metallica bassist Robert Trujillo, played bass for rock icon Korn during the band’s South America tour.

The new breed of second-generation rock stars seems to be rising, as Dave Grohl’s 8-year-old daughter Harper also wowed fans by jamming with the Foo Fighters during the Secret Solstice Festival in Reykjavik, Iceland, over the weekend.
The spirited performance, which fittingly took place on Father’s Day, saw the youngster channel her inner rockstar by performing a cover of Queen’s iconic ”We Will Rock You.”
“About two weeks ago, my daughter said, ‘Daddy, I wanna play the drums,’” Grohl said before he introduced Harper to the crowd. “And I said, ‘Do you want want me to teach you?’ She said, ‘Yes.’ And then I said, ‘Do you wanna get up in front of 20,000 people in Iceland and play?’ And she said, ‘Yes.'”
The audience roared in approval, as the music royalty hopped on the stage and strutted her stuff.
“So, ladies and gentlemen, welcome the next generation. There’s another Grohl on the drum set now,” her proud father said.
As of this writing, the father-daughter performance has garnered over half a million views on YouTube. Khristian Ibarrola /ra
