Lav reunites with Charo
The duo behind the Venice-winning film, “Ang Babaeng Humayo,” will reunite sooner than expected.
Filmmaker Lav Diaz told the Inquirer that he would start shooting his next film, “Ang Saka ni Henrico (Henrico’s Farm),” in August this year.
The film, which will be set in Singapore, features “Humayo” actress Charo Santos-Concio as an overseas Filipino worker.
The film will “focus on domestic workers who spend most of their lives away from the Philippines,” according to a Straits Times article on the Singapore International Festival of Arts. Ongoing until Sept. 9, the Singapore fest invited Diaz, who is a Radcliffe fellow in Harvard, “to film the new work.”
