Taylor Swift is returning her music catalog on Spotify and other music-streaming services.
The announcement was made by Swift’s official fan pages on Friday (Thursday in the US). This comes after Swift’s 2014 album “1989” sold over 10 million copies worldwide and her recent Record Industry Association of America’s certification for selling 101 million digital singles, still lagging behind Rihanna.
“Taylor wants to thank her fans by making her entire back catalog available to all streaming services tonight at midnight (East Coast Time),” they announced via their social media pages.
Back in 2014, the “Bad Blood” singer was embroiled in a “bad blood” with Spotify and other services and decided to pull out her “1989” album. But in 2015, she eased her stance by permitting Apple Music to stream her catalog after she demanded them to pay artists royalties during its free trials.
Swift is known for her chart-topping hits “Shake It off,” “You Belong with Me” and “Teardrops on My Guitar.” Gianna Francesca Catolico /ra
