Contrary to her fashionista image in show biz, Anne Curtis is flexing her muscles and toning down her body for an upcoming action thriller, “Buy Bust.”
On Instagram on Tuesday, the actress-host posted a clip of one of her many training sessions for the project, in which she will star together with Filipino-American mixed martial arts star Brandon Vera.
Unsatisfied with her performance, Curtis vowed to hone her boxing skills for her next session. “After probably a year long hiatus, giving it a try again. Need to mix up my training again to avoid plateauing. Not having a proper workout for weeks doesn’t help either,” she said.
Refusing a double to perform her stunts, Curtis is exerting double efforts to thrash opponents with her own fists and kicks.
“No to doubles. That’s why I’m really putting in so much effort. I told this to direk na kung puwede ako talaga (if he would agree, I’ll do it myself). Seryoso talaga, kaya inaaral ko as much as I can kahit pasa pasa na ako (I’m serious, and that is why I prepare for it as much as I can even if I already have bruises), okay lang,” she told ABS-CBN last year.
“Buy Bust,” which is directed by Erik Matti, commenced filming last March. A release date is yet to be announced. Gianna Francesca Catolico /ra
