Sarah’s smart singing technique
There was a time in Sarah Geronimo’s career, she once admitted, when she almost lost her voice—it would quiver; her falsetto would at times abandon her.
It was the result of being constantly compelled to sing songs out of her comfortable range during her early years in show biz. “Back then,” Sarah said in previous interviews, “kung sino ang hindi pumiyok, siya ang magaling.”
But soon, she realized she didn’t need to push her voice where it didn’t want to go just for the sake of impressing people.
“I have developed a more mature sound. Smart singing or singing with proper technique is my No. 1 priority now,” she told the Inquirer.
And when her voice isn’t in the best condition, the 28-year-old singer-actress tries to find alternative ways of attacking her songs. “Something that wouldn’t be too taxing on my voice,” revealed Sarah, who also stressed the importance of vocal warm-up.
