Olivia Newton-John had to “reluctantly” postpone her concert tour’s coming legs in the United States and Canada, after recent medical findings showed that the back pain she had been suffering this year was due to the recurrence of her breast cancer—which, this time, “has metastasized.”

The 68-year-old Australian music artist and actress, who had been in remission since her initial diagnosis in 1992, will undergo “natural wellness therapies” and “a short course of photon radiation therapy,” according to a statement posted on her official Facebook page.

But despite this setback, Olivia, who’s behind such hits as “Hopelessly Devoted to You” and “Physical,” is maintaining a positive outlook. “Olivia … is confident that she will be back later in the year,” the statement added.—ALLAN POLICARPIO
