Easier said than done

Bruce Jenner’s transition or self-reinvention as transgender Caitlyn has been so successful and effective that it has helped educate many laymen on the hitherto murky area of gender change.
Caitlyn has become a major media presence, prime mover and “influencer” whose dramatic and very public transformation has made others decide to confront and resolve their own gender questions and issues.
But, what has been the effects of Caitlyn’s personal life and relationships?
Most recently, she has been reported to have finally taken the decisive step of surgically opting to physically go from male to female.
This settled the nagging and niggling question that baffled her and onlookers for a time, as to where her feelings were going after she “came out.”
Was she now a woman looking for a male partner, or a woman more partial to a lesbian connection?
Before, even Caitlyn said she wasn’t sure—but, now that she’s physically become female, the likelihood is that her new set of “pipes” hints at a preference for a male partner.
All this is now quite moot and academic to Bruce’s ex-wife, Kris—but, their relationship after his one-sided gender choice is still less than happy and friendly.
They both claim that they want very much to become really good friends for the sake of their Kardashian-Jenner kids, but recent indications have been less than hunky-dory.
Just last month, for instance, Kris revealed on TV that, even when they were heterosexually copacetic with one another, she wondered why, when Bruce peed, he did it sitting down!
It was just a “small” thing, so she never asked him about it
—but, now that so much water had passed under their marital bridge, she finally made it a point to bring it up—on TV, yet!
Caitlyn was thrown off by the long-delayed query, but managed to explain that she wasn’t all that sure why at
the time, but it just felt “more natural.”
Looking back now, Kris added that it must have been a sign of Bruce’s inner need to address or fix “something” about himself that didn’t feel “quite right” at the time—so there!
Even more unfriendly was Kris’ reaction to the book that Caitlyn has just written about her long, dramatic and tumultuous journey from male to female.
In the book, he says that Kris, being his wife, “knew all along” how he felt and what he was planning to do about it—
but she emphatically insists that this wasn’t the case!
In fact, Bruce generally kept his shifting feelings secret, and arrived at his gender-change decision pretty much by himself, informing her about it only after the fact!
Their recent tiff on TV over their conflicting versions of the same event only served to show that the science of gender choice and change may have advanced by leaps and bounds this decade—but, the personal conflicts and conundrums are much more difficult to figure out, confront and resolve!
