Aside from being celebrity kids and schoolmates at Everest Academy Manila, Claudia Barretto and Juliana Gomez have one thing in common: being part of their school’s honor roll.
In an Instagram post on Tuesday, Ormoc City Mayor Richard Gomez gushed over Juliana, his daughter with Lucy Torres-Gomez, who has received her newest academic achievement. “May award si anak, mana talaga sa mommy at siyempre kay daddy (My daughter has an award. She has taken after her mommy and, of course, her daddy),” he captioned his post.
On the other hand, Marjorie Barretto expressed joy as her daughter with ex-husband Dennis Padilla, Claudia, finished the academic year with an award. Claudia is also the younger sister of teen star Julia Barretto.
“Just as I was starting to feel that single parenting my grown up children was getting more and more challenging every day, I found myself lately praying extra harder for strength and wisdom as a mother,” Marjorie wrote on the photo-sharing app. “Today, my daughter Claudia gives me another academic award, and I suddenly feel recharged.”
“I feel I’m not doing so bad after all, and I am reminded that the rewards are greater than the trials I face in raising them,” she added.
Although Juliana has no plans to enter show biz, Claudia expressed her desire to pursue a singing career. She recently made her debut on noontime show “ASAP” and released her debut single “Stay” earlier this month. Gianna Francesca Catolico /ra
