GMA 7 teen actor Jake Vargas is mourning the passing of his mother Magdalena who had been battling colon cancer for the past seven years. She was 54. In a previous Inquirer interview, Jake admitted that he was close to his mom, who died over the weekend. He said that he precisely joined show biz to help the family with his mom’s medical expenses. “I admire my mom. She’s strong and brave.” Wake is at the family home in Olongapo City; interment is on Sunday. Bayani San Diego Jr.
