The last time Christina Aguilera released an album was in 2012; her last world tour ended in 2008. And so, for the past couple of years, the pop star’s loyal fans have been impatiently waiting for new music and projects that’s not “The Voice”-related.
While the vocal powerhouse has hinted that a new album is currently in the works, Christina has yet to give a definitive release date. Thankfully, for the supporters, the 36-year-old recording artist has just landed an acting stint that would make the wait more bearable.
It was recently confirmed that Christina will take part in Drake Doremus’ coming sci-fi screen romance, “Zoe,” starring Ewan McGregor, Lea Seydoux, Rashida Jones and Theo James. Filming is set to start on May 8.—ALLAN POLICARPIO
