Korean actor Gong Yoo was honored as Best Actor at the 53rd Baeksang Art Awards, where he was recognized for his performance in the hit drama “Goblin”.

The Baeksang Art Awards gives recognition to achievements in the South Korean entertainment industry, particularly in film, theater and TV.
According to Korean website Soompi, the 37-year-old actor shed tears as he apologized to his mother for being too busy to see her.

“My mother sometimes gets disappointed and tells me that it feels like her son has become someone else’s son,” Gong Yoo recounted. “It’s all because I haven’t been good to her.”
While his hard work has paid off, we hope the leading actor’s schedule will open up for some family time.
He made his breakthrough performance as the lead in the 2007 romantic comedy series “The 1st Shop of Coffee Prince” and made waves internationally when he starred in the 2016 hit zombie apocalypse movie “Train to Busan”. Niña V. Guno/JB
