G-Force: ‘We can make everyone dance’

“We can make everyone dance.” The country’s premier dance company, G-Force, has always lived up to that mantra, according to choreographer and founder Teacher Georcelle.
Since the group was created in 2005, it has always regarded dancing as a passion. Committed to share their knowledge of dancing, the group likes it best to teach students who do not have any dance background.
“Mas gusto namin yung walang alam from scratch, mas ginaganahan kami dun (We actually [like it better] if they don’t know how to dance, it challenges us more.),” said Teacher Georcelle and some of G-Force’s members during their guesting on Inquirer ShowbizLive last May 3.
In the group’s G-Force Project, a student can enrol at a class of his or her choice.
“That’s why it’s called, Hip-hop by Jim, Sexy Hip-hop by Ritz, Kids’ class by Chrissian, (to name some of the classes available at the G-Force Project),” Teacher Georcelle added.
All the details about the course, as well as the different dance styles are all available through the G-Force Dance Center App.
At G-Force Project, students are trained within a six-day intensive dance workshop, at two hours per session. After the training, students will get ready for the G-Force dance concert at the Mall of Asia Arena, scheduled on May 31.
Meanwhile, Teacher Georcelle herself handles a class called White Shirt Love. It is a class involving sultry, sensual moves “open only to women and women at heart.” This dance fitness class is the only one she personally handles.
“Marami talagang nakaka-bet niyan. Hindi mo alam na nagwo-work out ka (A lot of [women] really love that, [because in it,] you do not realize that you’re working out),” she explained.
