The highly anticipated “Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 2” opens in Philippine cinemas today.
But before the rag-tag crew of misfits bring us back to to a thrilling journey beyond the cosmos, Filipina cosplay queen Alodia Gosiengfiao gave us a glimpse of what it’s like to share the room with the film’s star-studded cast.
The 29-year-old internet influencer shared a video blog of herself interviewing the likes of Chris Pratt (Star Lord/Peter Quill), Zoe Saldana (Gamora), Dave Bautista (Drax), and Michael Rooker (Fondu), along with the film’s director James Gunn during a recent GOTG2 cast interview in Los Angeles, California.
She was given four minutes each to speak with each cast member, starting with Saldana at the five-minute-and-twelve-seconds mark.
Much to her shock, the American actress actually recognized Gosiengfiao from her cosplaying fame.
“I follow you on Facebook! I love you!” she said, which left Gosiengfiao speechless.
Up next, she managed to share the room with Rooker, who suggested Gosiengfiao wear a female Yondu costume in the future.
Meanwhile, Bautista, who’s of Filipino descent, shared a few Tagalog words he knows, like “mabuhay” and “mahal kita.”
Director Gunn, on the other hand, detailed a timeline of when he completed the movie, while the lead actor Pratt shared how alike he is with his character.
“Much of the goofiness of Star Lord comes from who I am in real life, and my own personality sort of blending into the character,” he said.
As of this writing, Alodia’s video has racked up over 36,000 views on YouTube. JB
