Not a few London commuters couldn’t have asked for a better way to start their day.

Unsuspecting fans and passengers chanced upon the R&B artist John Legend, who sang and played one of the two street pianos at the St. Pancras Station on March 29.

The surprise show, mounted in celebration of International Piano Day, ran for about eight minutes, according to the BBC, and had the singer-songwriter performing his hits, including “All of Me” and “Ordinary People,” for a sizable crowd.

But perhaps what was more surprising than the show itself was learning that there was a global celebration of International Piano Day.

BTS’ death threats

After receiving a series of pointed death threats, the K-Pop boy band BTS, or Bangtan Boys, announced that it will intensify its security measures for its coming tour in the United States.

According to The Hollywood Reporter, a now-suspended Twitter account with username @AntiBTSAnti announced a plan to shoot the BTS member Jimin from a specified seat and section of the Anaheim Honda Center, where the band is slated for a two-night gig this weekend. The threat added that the attack would happen during the South Korean singer’s performance of the song “Lies.”

Meanwhile, the fans of the band—which also includes Jin, Suga, J-Hope, Rap Monster, V and Jungkook—promptly posted various hashtags and messages of support for Jimin. —ALLAN POLICARPIO
