The hulking mass of man named Hafþór Júlíus Björnsson, or more popularly known as Gregor “The Mountain” Clegane from HBO’s hit series “Game of Thrones”, has won the title of Europe’s Strongest Man for the third time.
The 28-year-old Icelandic strength athlete completed the Herculean feat over the weekend, besting several other equally massive competitors in the 2017 Europe’s Strongest Man competition at the First Direct Arena in Leeds, England.
The 6-foot-9 400-pound Björnsson proudly posted his accomplishment on Instagram, along with a video of his defining moment.

Björnsson’s win, meanwhile, comes a day after he revealed to have been diagnosed with Bell’s Palsy, which left the right side of his face temporarily paralyzed. To be able to win the contest, let alone compete despite his condition, was quite a remarkable feat.
He won the title in 2014 and 2015, before losing last year to English Strongman Laurence Shahlaei. Björnsson will return to television for the highly anticipated seventh season of “Game of Thrones”, set to premiere on July 16. Khristian Ibarrola/JB
