/ 12:04 AM April 03, 2017

The Village People, the American disco group that rose to fame in the 1970s for its catchy and cheeky dance songs such as “Y.M.C.A.,” “Macho Man” and “In the Navy,” will hold a one-night concert on May 14 at the Kia Theatre, as part of the band’s “40th Anniversary Tour” (call 9115555).

The six-man act, which has undergone a number of lineup changes through the years, is currently composed of original members, Felipe Rose and Alex Briley, as well as Ray Simpson, Eric Anzalone, Bill Whitefield and Jim Newman. Village People has reportedly sold 100 million records worldwide.

Mounted by Zaccaria Concerts, the show will also feature the ABBA tribute band Björn Again.—ALLAN POLICARPIO
