Cara Delevingne has established an international reputation as a supermodel, actress and a United Nations Girl Up volunteer, but didn’t you know that she is also an aspiring novelist?
The British actress-model announced her debut “coming of age novel” through an Instagram post on Tuesday. “Another pinch-me moment,” she captioned her Instagram image of her upcoming novel’s manuscript. “Announcing my first novel ‘Mirror, Mirror,’ coming out this October! So excited.”
According to her, “Mirror, Mirror” revolves around 16-year-old bandmates Red, Leo, Naima and Rose who are “all trying to figure out who they are and navigate the minefield of school and relationships.” However, the friends’ close bond was put to a test when Naima abstrusely passes away, leaving only a note that says “Sorry.” While Leo and Rose are busy trying to cope up, Red investigates the possible motives and suspect behind Naima’s death until he unravels the dark side of her friend’s persona.
“I love these characters so much, I love what they stand for, [and] what this story represents. The process of putting this novel together has been life changing and something I hold really close to my heart! I cannot wait to share [this] with everyone,” she further described her book, which she co-wrote with novelist Rowan Coleman.
